The Her STEM Space KPK Chapter hosted its first event at “Muskurahat”, a local welfare organization that teaches underprivileged children. Our team had a wonderful time interacting with the kids, sharing knowledge, and having fun together.
We introduced them to the magic of static electricity, showing how rubbing a balloon on their hair creates a special kind of electricity that can attract small objects like paper pieces. The kids were fascinated as they watched the balloon become “sticky” and pick up tiny bits of paper. Their excitement and curiosity grew as they experimented with this cool phenomenon, sparking their interest in physics.
We tried our best to encourage the kids to take an interest in science, introducing them to new concepts and expanding their imagination. This event was just the beginning , we’ll continue planning more activities.
We also learned a lot from the kids and felt even more motivated to continue this journey . Our team hopes to make more of lasting impact using this platform.
