Hi guys! My name is Vasilica, or Vasi for short, and I’m an upcoming sophomore at Clayton Valley Charter. I have a deep interest rooted in all things STEM, whether it be science, mathematics, or even engineering. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish as a team and an organization!

Hi, I’m Helen, and I’m a rising sophomore at The Winsor School. I am super excited to join the leadership team at Her STEM Space and can’t wait to make an impact on the STEM community! I love exploring different STEM topics, especially in biology, and supporting research in Alzheimer’s disease. I believe STEM education should be provided equally to everyone, regardless of gender, race, or financial status. I am ecstatic to join the Her STEM Space community!

Julianna Shi

Hi everyone! My name is Julianna, a rising sophomore from Boston, and I’m one of the Executive Directors this year. Since I was young, I’ve always been interested in hands-on STEM learning and experimentation, whether it be lab work or fun science projects. Through Her STEM Space, I hope to help make STEM programming and education more accessible for underprivileged communities around the world, especially places where girls are denied the opportunities to pursue their interests in science.

Hi! My name is Grace Varghese, and I am going to be in 10th grade as of August. I am passionate about STEM, and I hope to work in the medical field when I am older. I love numerous STEM topics, especially in math and biology. I am excited to create an impact within the Her STEM Space community and empower other girls who have the same fervor for STEM as I do!

Hi, I’m Julia, a rising sophomore at UNC–Chapel Hill studying Business and Economics! I tutored STEM subjects throughout high school and now serve as a peer math and economics tutor in college. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for others and using my skills to make a meaningful impact. At Her STEM Space, I’m excited to support the organization’s growth, expand its reach, and help strengthen its long-term financial sustainability so it can empower even more students through STEM.

Hi, I’m Maira, a rising senior at the Karachi American School. Growing up in Pakistan, I’ve seen firsthand how access to technology and STEM opportunities can open doors for young women. I’ve always been fascinated by math and how it can be used to better understand and solve real-world challenges. I am so excited to be part of the Her STEM Space team and help inspire more girls to pursue their interests in STEM.

I’m Oviya Chezhiyan, a university student majoring in Mathematics. Whether it’s my love for architecture or recreating iconic Flash games, I have always been passionate about design and innovation. Hi, my name is Hooria. I am a rising junior at Sheldon High School and a student at Folsom Lake College. I have always been passionate about STEM and have been fortunate to have access to the opportunities, resources, and support needed to pursue my interests. However, I recognize that many talented girls around the world do not have the same access. Through Her STEM Space, I hope to help make STEM more accessible, empowering, and inclusive so that every girl has the opportunity to explore her potential, pursue her passions, and succeed in STEM.

Avanti Ramamoorthy

El Dorado Hills Chapter Head

Hi! I’m Avanti Ramamoorthy, a rising junior from El Dorado Hills, California. As the chapter head for Her STEM Space in El Dorado County, I plan and lead workshops where students tackle real-world challenges involving engineering, science, and health. Whether we’re designing water filtration systems or exploring how our lungs work, I love making complex ideas seem approachable and interactive. Outside of STEM, you’ll usually find me on the golf course or reading a mystery novel. I hope to pursue a career in medicine, but wherever life takes me, I want to continue creating opportunities that spark curiosity for the next generation of STEM learners!
